Welcome to Strides for Empowerment. Jennifer Shelden-Jubik, MA, PsyD provides structured psychoeducational programs and wellness sessions designed to help individuals develop healthier behavioral patterns, strengthen decision-making skills, and create meaningful personal change.
With advanced degrees in counseling and psychology and over seven years of experience working with court-ordered clients, Jennifer offers educational programs in areas such as anger management, domestic violence education, parenting, and alcohol and drug education. Her programs focus on practical tools that support accountability, emotional regulation, and personal growth.
Strides for Empowerment works with individuals seeking personal development as well as those who have been referred by courts, attorneys, or social service agencies. All services are provided through convenient virtual sessions for residents throughout South Carolina.
Each program is designed to support participants in building the knowledge and skills necessary to move forward and become the best version of themselves.
Psychoeducation is the foundation of my wellness and psychoeducation sessions and has a place for everyone that wants to learn how to become better versions of themselves. Psychoeducation does not diagnoses, but rather pinpoints behaviors that are interfering with our ability to build healthy relationships with our loved ones, our children and what we believe to be true within ourselves. Psychoeducation gives a deeper understanding in what a newly mental health diagnosis is and gives further clarity in what I can't do but what I can do.
Psychoeducation gives clients tools to navigate their current issues and like counseling, psychoeducation is interconnected with the cognitive behavioral modality, which will further help clients understand maladaptive behavioral patterns, introduce techniques to process emotional blocks, build trust within one's self, gain self awareness which will illuminate a pathway to overall wellness.
